🎃 Happy Halloween + Be Productive Every Day Turns 4! 👻

Salut! It’s Andie here — officially reporting back during my favorite time of the year! 🕸️🖤

And yes, I’m finally back (from the dead?). Considering the pain I went through before my recent surgery, I think that comparison is... eerily accurate. 😅

It took me nearly two extra months to get back on track — but hey, life had plans. Between moving to another country, having to remove yet another wisdom tooth (who even gets a new one in their 30s???), and juggling a million blog tasks… it’s no wonder my comeback took a little longer.

💻 Life Behind the Blog

People often think blogging is just writing a few cute posts and snapping some pretty photos. Oh, if only! These days, most bloggers — myself included — are actually content and SEO managers disguised as writers.

There’s so much happening behind the scenes to keep a blog alive and thriving — and October was a prime example.

The “Not-So-Unusual” Month of a Blogging Business Owner

Here’s what I’ve been up to just with Be Productive Every Day (not even counting my other blogs — they’re older, more passive-income machines, so they mostly mind their own business now 😎):

  • Migrated Be Productive Every Day to a faster web hosting server (still on DreamHost 🖤).
  • Fixed the last few LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) issues — everything’s finally green on my Core Web Vitals score!
  • Tested 5 different premium image optimizers until I found THE ONE.
  • Switched to a lighter cookies plugin (bye-bye, slowpoke).
  • Wrote and replied to dozens of business emails.
  • Spent way too long debugging GA4 issues that turned out to be… a platform bug (of course 🙃).
  • Retired a few old email courses and launched a brand-new 89-page free course (yes, 89 pages — including bonus PDFs!). It cost me most of my weekends, but it was so worth it. You can check it out here — it’s completely free. 🔥
  • Got my first new subscribers to that course! 🫶🏻
  • Reviewed a post for a collab with none other than… Adobe! (coming the first week of November 👀).
  • Published 7 new articles, totaling over 27,000 words (October was light on writing, heavy on tech SEO 🥲💔).
  • And exchanged what felt like a million messages with my hosting support team — because website perfection doesn’t come easy!

And I’m still not done — I have new mailing sequences to schedule, more business emails to answer, and a sponsored post draft due tomorrow. 🥴

🕸️ Halloween Vibes + Little Victories

But at least I did all that while binge-watching my favorite Halloween movies & specials, blasting spooky playlists (from Misfits to Tim Burton's movie soundtracks), and eating all the candy I can now that I’m allowed to again! 🍬

Because before the surgery? Yeah, I couldn’t eat anything. For weeks. Antibiotics, blood tests, endless checkups… it was a nightmare. But at least my surgeon had great music taste — I got to play Metallica and Slipknot during the entire surgery, which definitely improved the vibe. 🤘

Also:
✅ Finished Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (102% baby ✨)
✅ Started Super Mario World
✅ Went back to rereading When Marnie Was There

So honestly? No complaints.

🎁 A Little Gift for You

To celebrate 4 years of Be Productive Every Day, I’m giving away some of my favorite blogging money-making resources — completely FREE. 💌

They’ve helped me so much throughout this journey, and it just feels right to share them with you as a thank-you for being here.

👉 Grab your free resources here — download as many as you want, get your free course, and happy Halloween! 🎃

As for me, I’m crossing off the next item on my list: rest. I worked almost every weekend this month, so on October 31st, I’ll be offline — enjoying my cozy Halloween party, candy bowl in hand, and maybe binge-watching one or two more seasons of Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? by night. Just maybe.

Because sometimes productivity looks like… not working at all. 👻

Alright fellas, it's brain dump time. Here me out. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but cold emailing creators for guest posts without reading a single word of their site is not a business strategy. It’s a cry for help. As a full-time blogger in a B2B niche, my daily life already looks like this: content planning writing editing updating old posts client projects checking affiliate dashboards like a raccoon checking trash cans replying to actual business emails from partners, brands, and...

I could say I love being a writer — which is true, btw — but writing is so natural to me it feels like breathing. It’s this neutral-but-beautiful thing that’s just… tied to me being alive. (Side note: had to stop typing because my cats started boxing each other like two tiny furry UFC fighters.) At the same time? I feel like I hate being a writer. Wait — let me explain. I write for my three websites. I write for this public Kit profile. I write for my mailing lists (yes, plural; not a typo)...

Hey, it's Andie here!I've been busy recently changing everything here. Google's algorithm has changed quite a lot recently - of course, with this AI revolution that's currently happening (and here to stay, let me state this) - and so has SEO. All that means that I've got my hands full of SEO optimization to do on my websites, Be Productive Every Day included, of course. From content strategy to technical SEO. So I've been trying new things, testing possibilities, and doing a ton of writing...
