🎃 4 Years of BeProductiveEveryDay + Happy Halloween! 👻

Salut! It’s Andréane here officially reporting back during my favorite time of the year! 🕸️🖤

And yes, I’m finally back (from the dead?). Considering the pain I went through before my recent surgery, I think that comparison is... eerily accurate. 😅

It took me nearly two extra months to get back on track, but hey, life had plans, I guess. Between moving to another country for a while in my digital nomad journey, having to remove yet another wisdom tooth (who even gets a new one as an ~anDulT(tm)~???), and juggling a million blog tasks… It’s no wonder my comeback took a little longer.

Life Behind the Blog

People often think blogging is just writing a few short posts and snapping some pretty photos. Oh brother, if only! These days, most creators and bloggers, myself included, are actually content marketers and SEO managers disguised as writers.

There’s so much happening behind the scenes to keep a blog alive and thriving, and my October 2025 was a prime example.

The “Not-So-Unusual” Month of a Blogging Business Owner

Here’s what I’ve been up to just with BeProductiveEveryDay (not even counting my other blogs, but they’re older, more passive-income machines, so they mostly mind their own business now 😎):

  • Migrated BeProductiveEveryDay to a faster web hosting server (still on DreamHost 🖤).
  • Fixed the last few LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) issues, and everything’s finally green on my CWV stats and my site's fast again!
  • Tested 5 different premium image optimizers until I found THE ONE.
  • Switched to a lighter cookies plugin (after installing and uninstalling half a dozen).
  • Wrote and replied to dozens of business emails.
  • Spent way too long debugging GA4 issues that turned out to be… a platform bug (of course 🙃).
  • Retired a few old email courses and launched a brand-new 89-page course (yes, 89 pages, including bonus PDFs!). It cost me most of my weekends, but it was so worth it. You can check the (last version, updated for 2026) "How Creators Earn Affiliate Income in 2026" ebook for download here.
  • Got my first 45 new subscribers to that course! 🫶🏻
  • Reviewed a post for a collab with none other than… Adobe! (coming the first week of November 👀).
  • Published 7 new articles, totaling over 27,000+ words (October was light on writing, heavy on tech SEO 🥲💔).
  • And exchanged what felt like a million messages with my hosting support team.

And I’m still not done yet!

I have new mailing sequences to schedule, more business emails to answer, and a sponsored post draft due tomorrow. 🥴

🕸️ Halloween Vibes + Little Victories

But at least I did all that while binge-watching my favorite Halloween movies & specials, blasting spooky playlists (from Misfits to Tim Burton's movie soundtracks), and eating all the candy I can now that I’m allowed to again! 🍬

Because before my surgery?

Yeah, I couldn’t eat anything.

For weeks.

Antibiotics, blood tests, endless checkups… it was a nightmare. But at least my surgeon had great music taste, so I got to play Metallica during the entire surgery, which definitely improved the vibe.

Also, had some time to do things I do enjoy, but rarely have time, like:
✅ Playing and finishing Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (102% 😎)
✅ Playing some Super Mario World (I *love* SNES!)
✅ Reading some fiction/fantasy ("When Marnie Was There," in case)

So honestly? No complaints.

Now, I’m crossing off the next item on my list: rest.

I worked almost every weekend this month, so on October 31st, I’ll be offline enjoying my cozy Halloween party, eating a lot of candy that I will regret later, and maybe binge-watching one or two more seasons of Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? by night. 👻

Talk soon!

I haven't had a lot of time to write many newsletters recently because I've been preparing my site to run ads from a premium ad network. It's a *huge* step for BeProductiveEveryDay, and certainly reading "Your Site is Eligible" has taken a lot of anxiety weight off my shoulders. Now I feel considerably calmer. I'm still busy with final settings and updates, but I had to take a break to write a weird tangent about ADHD hyperfocuses and... backlinks. --- See, I always thought this was just a me...

Everyone talks about getting more traffic. More impressions, more clicks, and more pageviews, but what if the real goal isn't more traffic? What if it's better traffic? Let me talk about a real campaign I recently ran with the subscribers of my website BeProductiveEveryDay (if you've been a subscriber for more than 2 months, you might remember that). For 4 weeks, I promoted a launch offer for one of my affiliate partners through a 30-day email campaign. Important behind-the-scenes info: For...

Last week, after I mentioned receiving 40,000+ AI citations across different AI platforms in the last 3 months (with several individual posts receiving 1,000-7,000 citations per month), a few subscribers emailed me with essentially the same question: "Okay, but is that traffic actually any good?" It's a fair question. Especially right now, when every other headline seems to predict the end of organic traffic. Google is investing heavily in AI search, AI Mode, and AI Overviews. Website owners,...
